Guided meditation?
During guided meditation, your teacher will guide you to get the most out of your meditation experience. The teacher will first explain how your mind behaves during the meditation, and then leads you through a meditation technique. You would learn how to integrate this in your daily life during unguided meditation or silent meditation.
Meditation techniques are usually derived from calming (samatha) and insight (vipassana) meditations. Guided meditation courses can be learnt during a fixed period of time, a week, 10 days or 30 days.
Calming meditation’s intention is to nurture a quiet, peaceful state-of-mind, with improved concentration. In this form of meditation, the teacher would ask you to focus on the breath, a visualization, a mantra, physical sensations in your body, or any physical object, and help you returning to the object when you become distracted. Insight meditation has the intention of mind and emotion transformation and to develop qualities such as compassion and wisdom.
Guided yoga and meditation will enable you to gain knowledge and techniques from the qualified and experienced teachers who can help you start a new, peaceful, physically and mentally healthy journey of life.
